Checks whether the details of a Korean passport match the records of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and whether the passport is still valid.
  • Once the source answers, the call is billed whatever the verdict. Calls that do not produce a verdict return 4xx or 5xx and are not billed.
Some input mistakes return MISMATCH and are still billed. Check these before calling.
  • Only Korean passports can be checked. Passports issued by other countries are not in the source’s records and return MISMATCH.
  • Send the Korean (Hangul) name on the passport in fullName. An English name returns MISMATCH even when the details are correct.
  • Send the passport number in uppercase. Example: M12345678
