Looks up the account holder name of a Korean bank account using a bank code and account number.
  • ARGOS does not compare names. It passes on the account holder name returned by the bank as is. Comparing it with your member’s name is up to you.
  • MATCH means “the account was confirmed and the account holder name was received”.
  • Once the bank answers, the call is billed whatever the verdict. Calls that do not produce a verdict return 4xx or 5xx and are not billed.
  • Available in every region (US and KR).
When the account holder name does not exactly match your member’s name, use TXT-FZ-MAT to get a similarity score and tell spelling differences (such as 홍 길동 and 홍길동) from different people.
Values can be added to verdict and verdictReason. Reading verdicts

Notes

  • See Bank codes for the list of bank codes.
  • accountHolder is passed on exactly as the bank returns it, so it can include leading or trailing spaces (including full-width spaces). Trim it before comparing it with your member’s name.

Billing

The billing unit is response, and each call has a count of 1. MISMATCH is also billed.
