# GC-MEX-CURP

> Looks up an 18-character Mexican CURP with RENAPO and returns the registration details and status.

Looks up an 18-character Mexican CURP (Clave Única de Registro de Población) with RENAPO and returns the registration details and status.

* **This API does not return a verdict (`verdict`).** The registration status has 10 values, and folding them into active or inactive would hide distinctions you may need. Read the status from `data.agency.estatusCurp`.
* The call is billed when the source returns a registration status. If the status value is unknown or missing, the call returns `502 UPSTREAM_ERROR` and is not billed.

## Billing

The billing unit is `response`, and each call has a `count` of 1.
