# GC-KOR-PASS

> Checks whether the details of a Korean passport match the records of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and whether the passport is still valid.

Checks whether the details of a Korean passport match the records of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and whether the passport is still valid.

* Once the source answers, the call is billed whatever the verdict. Calls that do not produce a verdict return `4xx` or `5xx` and are not billed.

> [!WARNING]
>
> **Some input mistakes return `MISMATCH` and are still billed.** Check these before calling.
>
> * **Only Korean passports can be checked.** Passports issued by other countries are not in the source's records and return `MISMATCH`.
> * **Send the Korean (Hangul) name on the passport in `fullName`.** An English name returns `MISMATCH` even when the details are correct.
> * **Send the passport number in uppercase.** Example: `M12345678`

Values can be added to `verdict` and `verdictReason`. [Reading verdicts](https://developers.argosidentity.com/en/idcheck/unit-api/overview.md#reading-verdicts)

## Billing

The billing unit is `response`, and each call has a `count` of 1. `MISMATCH` and `REJECTED` are also billed.
