# GC-KOR-FPS

> Uses a passport number, nationality, and date of birth to check whether a foreign national is currently staying in Korea and when their stay expires.

Uses a passport number, nationality, and date of birth to check with the Ministry of Justice **whether a foreign national is currently staying in Korea and when their stay expires**.

* This is a stay status lookup, not an ID check. So **`MATCH` in this API means "currently staying in Korea"**, not "the ID is genuine" as in the other authenticity checks.
* Once the source answers, the call is billed whatever the verdict. Calls that do not produce a verdict return `4xx` or `5xx` and are not billed.

Values can be added to `verdict` and `verdictReason`. [Reading verdicts](https://developers.argosidentity.com/en/idcheck/unit-api/overview.md#reading-verdicts)

## Billing

The billing unit is `response`, and each call has a `count` of 1. `MISMATCH` is also billed.
