# GC-KOR-BRS

> Uses a Korean business registration number to check with the National Tax Service whether the business is registered and currently operating, suspended, or closed.

Looks up the taxpayer status of a Korean business registration number with the National Tax Service.

* This is a registration status lookup, so **`MATCH` in this API means "a business registered with the National Tax Service and currently operating"**.
* Suspended or closed businesses return `REJECTED`, not a mismatch.
* A number that is not registered returns `MISMATCH` and **is still billed, because a lookup was made.**
* To also check the representative's name and the business start date, use [GC-KOR-BIV](https://developers.argosidentity.com/en/idcheck/unit-api/gc-kor-biv.md).

Values can be added to `verdict` and `verdictReason`. [Reading verdicts](https://developers.argosidentity.com/en/idcheck/unit-api/overview.md#reading-verdicts)

## Billing

The billing unit is `response`, and each call has a `count` of 1. `MISMATCH` and `REJECTED` are also billed.
