# FACE-COM

> Returns a 0–1 similarity score showing how alike two face images are.

Send two face images, and FACE-COM returns a similarity from 0 to 1 that indicates how likely they are the same person. It is typically used to compare an ID portrait with a selfie.

* **It does not decide whether the faces match.** You set the threshold for treating them as the same person using `similarity.score`.
* A low similarity is still a result, so it is billed.
* If no face is found in either image, the call returns `502 FACE_NOT_DETECTED` and is not billed.

## Notes

* If the call returns `502 FACE_NOT_DETECTED`, `message` names the image with no face: `originFace` or `targetFace`. Recapture that image.

## Billing

The billing unit is `compare`, and each call has a `count` of 1.
