## 1. Recommended Browsers and Devices

Learn about recommended browsers and versions for optimal use of ID Check. Find information on browser compatibility, privacy considerations, and best practices for a smooth experience.

## 2. Recommended Browsers and Versions

ID Check has been tested and works well on most modern browsers. However, we recommend browsers that respect privacy and provide a smooth experience. The following are recommended browsers and minimum versions:

* Chrome: Version 119 or higher
* Safari (iOS): iOS 15 or higher
* Samsung Internet: Version 27 or higher
* Android: OS 9 (Pie) or higher (devices running Android versions below 9 are not supported)
  Other browsers may be supported, but the browsers listed above guarantee the most stable performance.

<Warning>
  - Exception: iOS version 18.6.2 has been confirmed to persistently block WebAssembly functionality required for ARGOS KYC processing.
  - For this version, please update iOS or check [Resolving WebAssembly Errors on iOS](en/idcheck/getting-started/ios_block_page) for guidance.
</Warning>

<Info>
  **Android & Chinese-manufacturer device compatibility (as of June 2026 testing)**

  ID Check has been confirmed to work on major Chinese-manufacturer devices. In test-lab checks, the camera worked normally in both Chrome and in-app browsers (WebView) on **Xiaomi · Redmi · Huawei** (MIUI · HyperOS · EMUI, including custom ROMs), **Samsung One UI**, and **Google Pixel** devices running **Android 9 or higher**.

  * Devices on **Android below 9** (e.g., older ColorOS · Funtouch devices) are not supported because the LiveForm page itself does not load.
  * Some in-app browsers (WebView) or default browsers on Chinese devices may block the camera. In that case, see [Android & WebView Camera Troubleshooting](/en/idcheck/getting-started/webview-camera-troubleshooting).
</Info>

<Note>
  The test above did not reproduce the failure on some reported devices (e.g., newer Oppo ColorOS), and does not guarantee every device/browser combination. If a camera issue persists on a specific device, use the troubleshooting guide above and contact customer support.
